A Letter from Unison's President and Director
Frieda Yueh Stuart Bigley

Welcome to our 2008 Fall Season, which could easily be labeled ÒBest of the BestÓ in performances, artwork and workshops. We hope you will try something new this season Ð you will be delighted with the experience.

In response to your requests for a more streamlined box office experience, we have changed our ticket policy to encourage reservations, which will reduce lines at the box office as well as our operating expenses.

We are busy preparing for some fundraising events and we hope you will join us. As a way of thanking our loyal membership, members will be admitted to the Barn Sale at the early-bird time of 8 am, free of charge. And if you sign up for a new membership or renew your membership, you will receive a $20 credit toward your barn-sale purchases.

In addition to our usual programming, our Marketing and Program Committees are researching a set of subscription series that will focus on local artists, children, classical music and dance. Please call if you are interested in helping us with this new initiative or if you have ideas.

Is anyone interested in joining our Finance Committee? If you like working with budgets and/or creatively managing small business operations, give us a call!

Finally, we would like to extend a warm welcome to our new board members Nancy Lautenbach, artist and Director of Art Services at SUNY, Barbara Lane, retired art teacher, artist and Reformed Church administrator, and Jesse Sarubbi, artist and pri- vate consultant. They have already made significant contributions to our marketing, volunteering and programming activities.

Enjoy the upcoming season Ð we look forward to seeing you at Unison.
