Photographing the Nude in the Studio
A nude in a studio
with Dan McCormack

Dan McCormack, head of the photography program at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, will be leading a workshop for beginning to advanced photographers. Working with a figure model, how to shoot with "hot lights," and shooting with props will be some of the topics covered in discussions and demonstrations. The photographer directing will have priority in getting his or her shot, but others can shoot from different angles as long as they are courteous and do not interfere with the director. Bring your camera, many rolls of film, extra batteries, extra memory card, tripod and props that you find might be interesting for the model to work with: fabric, hats boots and deer skulls are favorites of McCormack's.
