Skyhunters
with Brian Bradley

This program examines the natural history and biology of birds of prey. Learn how these birds are adapted to play a vital role at the top of the food chain in our environment. Experience an up-close look at several of these beautiful birds. Learn about the sport of Falconry — the art of catching wild game with trained raptors — which dates back more than four thousand years. See a live flight demonstration — watch a hawk and a falcon chase a man-made lure at high speed, honing their skills for the hunt. This program will be held outside weather permitting. Brian Bradley has been a falconer and animal trainer for over twenty years. Growing up in the Hudson Valley under the tutelage of master falconers Heinz Meng, Ray Pena and others, Brian crafted his skills as a falconer.
