Ever since appearing on Garrison Keillor's PITTS (People in Their Twenties) Contest, this young group of Brooklyn-based musicians has been winning fans and acclaim for their traditional/old-time, rocking/honky-tonk sound. Their charismatic charm is wrapped around a core of deeply felt love for traditional country music styles and a palpable joy in playing and singing together. The Sweetbacks feature the lavish voices of Zara Bode and Emily Miller joined by an all-star cast of instrumentalists including: Jesse Milnes; Stefan Amidon — drums; Ross Bellenoit — Telecaster, and Bridget Kearney — bass.
