Tai Chi Chuan is an ancient Chinese healing and martial art. Its slow and graceful movements promote health and restore harmony of mind, body and spirit. Students learn how to combine proper body alignment with breathing, relaxation and concentration in a way that increases the flow of vital energy, or “Qi”, inside the body. People of all ages and abilities can practice Tai Chi. ‘Its many benefits include:’ reduced back & arthritic pain, better balance and heart functioning, reduced stress, a stronger immune system, and increased flexibility, strength, and coordination.
Instructor Martha Cheo has been practicing Tai Chi Chuan for 28 years, and also teaches qi gong and advanced tai chi forms such at Tai Chi fast set, push hands, martial applications, and Tai Chi sword.
Beginner classes are on Thursday evenings, usually starting in September and April, and sometimes also starting in January and July. See links below to the Thursday and Saturday classes.
