Beth Humphrey: Echo

“These recent works on paper have been about me  putting small tendrils of energy out into the world to see how it bounces back.

This usually manifests as investigations of how we humans are connecting to our environment both built and natural. Do we experience awe? Are we extracting or contributing? Am I paying attention? We are surrounded by cycles, evaporation, respiration, erosion, gentle and violent forces shaping everything around us, I am cataloging what I am considering. “
