Pianist Peggy Reich: Jewish Musical Reflections

How do you hear reflections of a religion or a culture?

How does one hear Judiasm in music?

Join us at Unison Arts for an evening of music by award-winning pianist, composer & educator, Peggy Reich as she explores these questions through the music of composers of Jewish descent.

Peggy Reich is a pianist, a composer and has also added some conducting to her musical life. Ms. Reich has been playing since she was a child, and received her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington, Indiana. She studied under Menahem Pressler of the Beaux Arts Trio and Dr. Joseph Rezits.

She has performed as a soloist, in trios and duets, as well as one piano four-hand and two piano four-hand duets. Based in Scarsdale, New York, Ms. Reich has won many national and international competitions, and has played at some of the most iconic venues on the East Coast, including Carnegie Hall and Kosciuszko Hall in New York City. Her concert tours have taken her across the United States from the East to the West coasts as well as to the islands in the Caribbean.

Peggy Reich is not just an award-winning performing artist: she also teaches piano and composition to students of all ages in her studio. The full scope of her work as an artist is rounded out by teaching and composing music, ranging from piano solos and duets with other instrumentation as well as several orchestral pieces.
